STUV 22/90 Fireplace Alderley Edge

A built-in STUV 22/90 fireplace installation set into a contemporary tiled feature wall for a refined Cheshire living space.

Case study

Architectural STUV 22/90 fireplace installation in Alderley Edge.

This Alderley Edge home required a fireplace that could anchor an open contemporary living space while feeling fully integrated with the surrounding architecture. The brief called for a wide flame picture, clean detailing and a finish that would complement the room's mix of warm timber, polished flooring and modern surfaces.

The STUV 22/90 was selected for its generous landscape format and restrained built-in appearance. Its wide glass front creates a strong view of the fire, while the minimal frame allows the tiled feature wall to remain the main architectural statement.

On Fire Inc coordinated the fireplace design around the appliance, tiled surround and visible flue route. The dark large-format tiles give the installation depth and texture, contrasting with the bright surrounding space and helping the fire sit naturally within the room.

The finished fireplace balances a dramatic central feature with practical day-to-day heating. The STUV 22/90 brings scale and atmosphere to the living area without adding visual clutter, making it well suited to design-led Cheshire homes where the fire needs to work with the interior rather than sit apart from it.

This project highlights On Fire Inc's experience with architectural STUV fireplace installations across Alderley Edge, Cheshire, Sheffield and the wider region. From appliance selection to flue planning and final fireplace proportions, each detail is shaped around the property and the way the room is used.
