Set within a beautiful Victorian detached home in Fulwood, S10, this bespoke fireplace installation completely transformed a plain, unused wall into a striking contemporary feature centred around the impressive Barbas XXL 3 Gas Stove. Designed and installed by On Fire Inc, the project combined luxury gas stove design with handcrafted media wall detailing to create a warm, architectural focal point perfectly suited to modern family living in Sheffield.
Starting from a completely blank wall, every element of this installation was designed and built from scratch. The project began with the construction of a raised platform to elevate the stove and create a more commanding presence within the room. From there, the team created a fully bespoke chimney breast and media wall system, carefully balancing clean contemporary lines with the character of the Victorian property.
A recessed TV section was integrated directly above the fireplace to create a seamless entertainment wall, while subtle under-lighting was installed beneath the raised hearth to add depth, warmth and atmosphere during the evening. Large-format tiling around the stove introduced texture and contrast, helping frame the wide landscape flame picture of the Barbas XXL 3 gas stove.
To complete the installation, custom wood panelling was handcrafted and fitted around the media wall, bringing warmth and natural texture into the design while tying the entire room together. The result is a sophisticated, highly functional living space that feels both luxurious and inviting.
